Self-guided FAQ to resolving windows application issues
Microsoft Windows Media
Player Fixes
- Issue: Hear sound by can't see any video
- Cause: Simple configuration change
- On Windows Media Player Access Tools menu and select
Options
- Select Performance tab
- Select Advanced button
- Under Video Acceleration, uncheck Use overlays and
click Ok to close window
- Click Ok to commit and close Options
- Cause: Missing video codec
CD/ROM/DVD Player/Burner Fixes
- Issue: Can only burn a single
track of playlist - or - previously burned CD-ROM titles cannot be read
(shows up as empty disc)
- Cause: Dirty disc lens - open disc tray, and wipe lens with lint
free 100% cotton or plasma cleaning cloth.
