One of two supported Integrated-Services Digital Network (ISDN) levels of service which may be used to carry voice, circuit-switched data, or packet data. PRI consists of twenty-three bearer (B) channels and one data (D) channel of 64 kbits/s and 16 kbits/s respectively - '23B+D'. A PRI connection runs at 1.544 Mbps over a T1 connection and at 2.048 Mbps over an E1 connection. The other ISDN level of service is Basic Rate Interface (BRI).
