- Total internet searches for the year totaled 4.95 billion,
distributed across major search engines 35.1 percent Google, 31.8
percent Yahoo!, 16 percent MSN, 9.6 percent AOL, and 5.1 percent

Market:
- VoD
- The portion of US digital cable households that
have used VoD grew to 40 percent. (Leichtman Research)
Product or Service Milestones:
- Comcast's 21.5 million subscribers downloaded 50
million shows up from 40 million in June (which is almost one movie
a week for each customer), 15 million of the 50 million shows were
programs from HBO. October 4, 2004
Population Trends:
- 65 percent of US use the Internet
- Time spent online in UK was 16 hours a week for
broadband service, mobile phone calls averaged 27 minutes a week, 15
text messages per week, radio listening 43.5 hours per week,
television viewing 26.1 hours per week
